Identity for a new street food stand based in the Santa Catalina Market in Palma de Majorca. La Coquería has been born with conscience and consciousness: to make eating an event that promotes responsible and fair trade, through a chain of local suppliers of organic products. ‘Coca’ is reinterpreted here and lightened by eliminating butter and using ‘xeixa’ flour, a local variety of wheat. The dough is stretched and baked as needed and they only use seasonal products. To reflect the authenticity of the product and the pioneering ‘coca’ formula of founders Maria Solivellas and Katja Wöhr, the identity is based on the first letters of the name (Coquería) and the traditional copyright symbol: these are copyrighted ‘cocas’. We stretched the copyright symbol concept to create a naming system highlighting the unique and earthy philosophy of the brand. With Pablo Martín.
