Mercè Rodoreda: Mirror of Languages

The theme for this unusual exhibition is the translation into different languages of The Time of the Doves. The catalogue is designed as a packet of eleven postcards, each featuring a different language translation of the novel's opening paragraph. Each card is colour-coded, relating to a chart breaking down the distribution of translations of Rodoreda's work around the world. Further, each postcard is set in a font that reflects a country's language and culture, for example Baskerville for the UK and Swift for The Netherlands. Everything is housed together in a neat pocket-sized case.
